Especially if you are strategic in choosing what you career path you will invest your life into, making sure it is something you take enjoyment in, or at the least don’t mind doing, and also to feel like your occupational role holds value in society. The services include a free and comprehensive to identify any, and every field or profession would suit your personality makeup best. At the next phase of career counseling, we will determine, which is the best professional career path for you to pursue, and our staff will create a a blueprint specific to your professional, goals, limitations and barriers.

We don’t just leave you there! We will offer you Case Management support for any questions you have along the way once you begin following your blueprinted goal plan. It will outline each step in detail, that will lead you to achieving a professional goal(s) that will make YOU an asset to your desired job market.

We are professional ”red-tape cutters” so our case managers are there for you every step of the way to answer any questions about any challenges that arise throughout your goal plan period. The services are available to you for up to one year, and can be renewed with a new goal plan for a subsequent year.

Enlightened Pathways was originally created to serve those returning home from incarceration, or who have had prior contact with the criminal justice system, which poses challenges when seeking employment. But these services can prove helpful to assist anyone with employment barriers, especially due to past criminal justice involvement.

• Between 70 million and 100 million—or as many as one in three Americans—have some type of criminal record.
• More than 600,000 people returned from jail each year and 2/3 of them will be re-arrested within three years of returning back to society.
•  A Columbia University study by Hwang and Phillips found that although formerly incarcerated people, especially those who are Black, are often pushed into entrepreneurship by discrimination, their ventures ultimately tend to result in higher incomes and lower recidivism rates.  
• About 49% of local jail inmates were white and the white population respectively represents 75% of the US population, while 35% were black despite and the black population represents only 13% of the US population
• People of color are the most disproportionately affected demographic affected by the US court system.
• Vocational rehabilitation, educational training and entrepreneurship all reduce the likelihood of reoffending by increasing their chances of a successful re-integration into society.
